Mazda will continue to pursue short-term internal combustion

Hiroshima to mark the near-term future of the automobile is still in internal combustion engines, since, according to Mazda, there is still much room for improvement as far as fuel consumption and emissions are concerned.

Apparently, the brand is developing a diesel engine that aims to reduce the consumption of its predecessor by 30%, while maintaining a level similar performance based, so that efficiency is not detrimental to the sensations.

Themselves responsible for the company dropped the diesel engine that aspires to be the best in the world. A very ambitious goal, of course, and perhaps somewhat contradictory given what these engines are unpopular in Japan (if we look the other way around, perhaps because it wants to make a great engine of this type, and break at last this tendency).

In any case we have to wait to judge whether or not this engine up to high expectations of Japan's brand. On the other hand, Mazda continues to investigate (with over 20 years) with hydrogen powered engines, so you can not say that do not look long term, but if it is true that they are not following the general trend toward hybridization.

Moreover, in its new generation of engines Skyactiv, joins a weight reduction of the range (in some cases exceeding 130 kg) which will be applied to all new models that will be incorporated into the Mazda range.

Finally, focusing on Spain, Mazda has made it clear that they have stores in Europe capable of supplying 90% of the parts and components needed to continue their normal activity, despite the disaster in Japan (actually its factories have not had damage, but the situation is too serious to ensure you do not cut the supply line).
